You can download the Gen Log Program Here: Gen Log
Please read the Help File Dave has on the Gen Log Program!
Special Thanks to Dave, W3KM for working with me on setting up the Connecticut QSO Party in Gen Log!
Example GenLogger Cabrillo File.
Here are some specifics on using the the Gen Log Program.
Once you have the program installed, make sure you fill out the Set-up screen accordingly.
Then you can click on continue to the move on to the logging screen. Here you will click on file, then New Contest. Click on the button that says State and then click on Connecticut and then click on the Continue button. See below.

Once this is done, you should see in the window a log called ct.log. As below.

Entry Window is next. When you enter a DX station, you only need to put DX in the EXCH field. In the log window, once you hit the Save data to log button, it will automatically fill in the proper Country.
*****NOTE! After you enter the DX call sign in the Call Entry field, hit the Enter Key on your keyboard. This will insure that duping and the proper DXCC Prefix is attached to the DX Call for your multiplier. See Below.

Last thing! If you work W1IG for the Bonus points, you will need to click on the button that says Bonus/Multi. When the screen opens, type in 100 and click the Done button. remember, this is a one time bonus. Your bonus will be added to your score. See below.

A suggestion when using this program. If you are using both the PSK31 and RTTY modes during the contest, my suggestion to keep from logging dups is to use the RTTY Mode in the entry screen for both modes. Because RTTY and PSK31 are considered Digital in the contest, it will just help any duping issues.
*****IMPORTANT NOTE! The only other thing you will need to change after you create your Cabrillo file is the Operator Category to match what is in the rules (Please use all caps when you make this change to the cabrillo file!)
If you have any qustions feel free to e-mail W1IG with your question.
If you are planning to operate the contest, the planning form has been unlocked for you to submit your plans! (June 29, 2010)
As pointed out by a few folks, this contest falls on Yom Kippur. I appoligize to the amateurs in the Jewish community for this being overlooked when scheduling the contest. My Outlook calendar does not list holidays of any sort and that is what I used as a calendar to schedule the Connecticut QSO Party. Bob W1IG
